Chatham
Chatham is often described as the "elbow" of Cape Cod’s arm. Situated just off Nantucket Sound, this charming town boasts a diverse landscape of rolling hills, woodlands, harbors, freshwater ponds, and expansive beaches. Once a fishing hub, Chatham is now considered one of the most desirable towns on the Cape, known for its small-town atmosphere that is cherished by both its year-round residents and seasonal visitors. The town's population of around 6,000 swells to nearly 30,000 during the summer months, as people flock to enjoy its beauty. Chatham’s upscale community is largely made up of retirees or individuals who own second homes for seasonal use. Notable attractions include the Chatham Railroad Museum, the Chatham Marconi Maritime Center, and the iconic Chatham Bars Inn resort.
